چکیده

This study investigates and validates the use of Octavius 4D system for patient specific quality assurance on Halcyon, which is capable rotating at 4 revolutions per minute (RPM). A commercially available PTW was used this had a maximum rotation speed 3 RPM. Initial validation included testing accuracy inclinometer, percent depth doses (PDD), output factors, dose profiles selected static square fields. The same fields were also subject to gamma comparison with TPS. followed by an evaluation twelve clinical treatment plans seven non-clinical varying gantry speeds. All completed using detector array measurement times 200 ms 100 ms. Inclinometer within 0.3° actual angle. Output factors varied less than 0.6%, PDD differences no greater 1.4%, profile 2.2%. Gamma pass rates 96.7% (2%/2mm) 99.7% (3%/3mm). prototype control unit, RPM test plans. For plans, mean 86.1% 88.1% commercial unit respectively. Results time superior those Halcyon deliveries RPM, worst case results 28.6% compared 98.5% unit. Accurate can be obtained linac, provided that kept Halycon does not exceed higher deliveries, capability recommended.

Quality Assurance of Varian On-board Imager

Accurate and repeatable setup of patients is a requisite in radiotherapy. In the treatment of head-and-neck tumors, accurate setup is particularly important because of the proximity of the treatment volume to critical structures such as the spinal cord, brainstem, and parotid glands. When intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) is used, proximity of this kind between the target and normal organ...

Quality Assurance of IMRT delivery systems – Varian

Introduction Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) provides the means for improved treatment for a wide variety of cancers. Piggybacked onto 3DCRT and MLC technologies, IMRT has developed quickly, but will undoubtedly see improvements in core hardware and software as well as in peripheral applications such as record and verify, gating, etc. At the core, individual treatment centers shoul...
